Taraji P. Henson 20 year old son Marcell Johnson was pulled over for not yielding at a cross walk. He also disclosed to officers that he was in possession of Marijuana and Ritalin. Taraji took to instagram stating she was upset and that her son was racially profiled and that the officer was wrong.

Well, a video of the actually encounter showed otherwise. Mr. Johnson didn’t yield and the officer was pretty nice to him. He also didn’t give Mr. Johnson a ticket for not yielding, he only cited him for the marijuana. He didn’t want the young man to have anything on his license because it would have stuck with him.

This discovery results in Taraji making a public apology to the police officer of Glendale, CA.

She stated

“”A mothers job is not easy and neither is a police officer’s,” she said in a post on Instagram. “Sometimes as humans we overreact without gathering all of the facts. As a mother in this case I overreacted and for that I apologize. Thank you to that officer for being kind to my son.”

Well done Taraji!!!! we as a people need to understand that all officers are not bad and racist. You have those that are just doing there jobs. They go out everyday putting their life on the line to protect us as a people. Its sad that those that are horrible give the good ones a bad name. She did overreact, but she did as most mothers would. Whats  important is she recognized her wrong and she corrected it by apologizing.
